Fortune 100 Manufacturer

How one of the world's most recognizable manufacturers put voice AI on its safety-critical phone lines: deployed in the client's own cloud, governed to enterprise standards, and cleared through compliance and security review. Client name withheld under NDA.

01The challenge: safety calls stuck in manual routing

On this manufacturer's lines, specific processes require human operators to call in and report outages, errors, and safety issues. Every one of those calls was routed by hand.

Manual routing is slow on a normal day. During a safety incident it becomes a compliance exposure, because a call waiting on a human dispatcher is time the process and the person reporting it can't afford.

02What Linkt built

Linkt stood up production voice agents that answer inbound calls, understand intent, and route callers to the proper channel. A human takes over whenever confidence drops or the situation demands it.

Beneath the agents, Linkt deployed the full LLM infrastructure in the client's own cloud environment with enterprise governance: custom data retention policies, access controls, audit logging, and alignment with the client's regulatory requirements. The data stays inside the client's boundary and trains no outside model.

03The outcome: through review, into production

Inbound calls now route instantly and consistently, with human escalation preserved where it matters.

The deployment cleared the client's compliance and security review, showing voice AI can operate inside one of the most process-rigorous enterprises in the world, and it established a repeatable blueprint for rollout across additional facilities.
